Welcome! You have accessed the Biographical Information Domain (BID), the world’s open-access repository of biographical information items (i.e., biodata.

What are Biodata Inventories? Biodata inventories include questions about an individual’s past experiences, behaviors, or life events. Biodata works based on the principle that past behavior is one of the best predictors of future behavior. Biodata questions focus on specific historical actions or experiences, such as previous work habits, volunteer activities, or educational history. Biodata is a method of measurement, not a construct itself, and can be used to assess a wide range of constructs, including personality, motivation, abilities, and skills.
